Contemporary Family Dental is hosting Smiles from the Heart on Friday, May 15, 2026, a free dental care event in Grand Rapids for neighbors who may not have regular access to dental care. Guests may receive one free service, such as a cleaning, filling, or extraction, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Since its inception, Smiles from the Heart—in partnership with our West Michigan sister offices—has provided over $450,000 in free dental services to more than 1,400 individuals in West Michigan. Last year alone, we served 62 patients and provided $22,500 in critical dental care. This year, we’re aiming to help even more neighbors in need!
Our dedicated team of dental professionals will provide the following services at no cost:
Prevent gum disease and maintain oral health
Restore damaged teeth and prevent further decay
Remove problematic teeth to alleviate pain and prevent infection
These services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments necessary!

Upon arrival, you’ll complete a brief medical history form and specify which service you need most.
Our team will conduct a quick evaluation to determine the most appropriate treatment.
You’ll receive professional dental care from our experienced team of volunteers.
Before leaving, you’ll receive instructions for caring for your teeth after treatment.
At Contemporary Family Dental, we believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care. Many in our community face barriers to receiving necessary dental treatment, which can lead to serious health issues beyond just oral health problems.
